Anti-Racist Safeguarding

Latifa Akay author of the Radical Safeguarding Handbook will initially have a 1-hour meeting with SLT to understand the context and needs of the school.

This 3-hour session explores the role that safeguarding conventionally plays in schools and encourages critical thinking to reflect on the impact safeguarding can have on global majority children and parents when decisions are made without an anti-racist lens. We recommend that schools consider two x 3-hour sessions to deepen the learning and implementation within schools.
