Racial Literacy Curriculum Framework
This session with Abha Aggarwal and Ruth England outlines key themes and learning objectives in the curriculum to support racial literacy development for school pupils.
The session covers either Primary (EYFS, KS1, KS2) or Secondary (KS3, KS4) phases. It aims to:
- Reflect multiple facets of ‘race’ and racism
- Consider child development and age appropriateness
- Provide a framework for progression
- Provide a framework for curriculum review and development
- Explore and critically examine a range of teaching resources
