Our Picks – June 2023

  • When you #PlantMoreTrees with Woodlands Trust, you can make a difference to wildlife, your community and the planet. Applications for their Tree Packs for schools and communities are still open, so why not apply today and get planting this November!
  • On 24 June, Museum of London Docklands is hosting Untold stories: A Docklands scavenger hunt. No birthday celebrations would be complete without a scavenger hunt. Put together your team and solve clues that take you through the untold and lesser known stories of the docks. The  hosts and actors will take you through both the museum collections and the living history in the immediate areas surrounding the Museum of London Docklands.
  • In the words of The Anti-Racist Educator, “effective anti-racism takes time. It requires commitment – the learning journey never ends”. They have a fantastic reading list and other resources as a good starting point for reflecting, learning and (un)learning.
  • The Must Read Book List is one of Tower Hamlets Schools Library Service’s annual selections of the best fiction for primary schools chosen by librarians, the library service and primary and secondary schools, and is a suggested list to buy for your school library.
