Our Picks – November 2022

  • Toynbee Hall has a new outdoor projector for community art – for local people to submit and select creative works. Submissions are welcome from local creatives, artists and other local people who may not call themselves as such but have artwork they’d like to exhibit.
  • Greek Myths Unplugged is a perfect accompaniment to KS2 and KS3 lessons on Ancient Greece, retelling myths and gaining familiarity with stories from another culture. The short films are simple to fit into your timetable, and offer additional activities which can be built in to support critical thinking and a continuing discussion in the classroom and beyond.
  • Immerse yourself in Shakespeare’s language with
Better Bankside’s Shakespeare Art Trail – a colourful explosion of illustration, graphic design and projections across one of his favourite haunts, Southwark. Explore the free trail until 30 November 2022.
  • A Season of Bangla Drama returns 4 – 27 November. This month long festival uses the powerful medium of theatre to celebrate Bangladeshi heritage in a creative and accessible way.
