The Case for Global Learning
Last week 30 education organisations, including Global Learning London launched a paper calling for our government to support the use of Global Learning approaches in UK schools and universities, to bring the UK back to the forefront of the practice of this transformational educational approach.
Global Learning is defined as “an approach that enables pupils to reflect critically on the world and their place in it; to open their eyes, hearts and minds to the reality of the world, both locally and globally. It involves imagination and hope, respect for human rights and diversity, inclusion, and a decent life for all, now and into the future.” (European Declaration on Global Education to 2050)1.
Global Learning London is one of a number of global learning organisations across the country which form The Global Learning Network. You can read the paper and learn more about Global Learning here.
