Tower Hamlets and the Kent & East Sussex Railway

We are pleased to have been successful with our funding application to the Heritage Lottery Fund to deliver a new project with schools exploring the technical and social history of railways, both local and global, as well as their environmental impact through to today.

We will work with children and their teachers to critically explore the impact of this major invention on global power dynamics, local opportunities, gender roles and environmental sustainability.
