As part of The Linking Network’s (TLN) Annual Schools Linking Celebration Week, we were thrilled to host the Global Learning London TLN Celebration Week Event on Wednesday 25th June 2025. The session brought together pupils and teachers from schools across Tower Hamlets for a fun, reflective, and heartwarming online gathering.

The event gave pupils the opportunity to celebrate their linking journeys, share their experiences, and connect with one another in a relaxed and inclusive space. The morning kicked off with friendly introductions and some light-hearted warm-up games to get everyone smiling and comfortable.

Each participating school then took a turn to share the activities they had enjoyed over the year — from exchanging letters and creative projects to collaborative classwork and learning about their link schools. Pupils spoke confidently about what they had most enjoyed, what they’d learned about each other, and what they might like to do differently next time. It was truly inspiring to hear how even small interactions had sparked curiosity, empathy, and friendship.

A highlight of the session was a thoughtful group discussion exploring the big questions:

• How can we all live well together?

• What can we do in our schools and communities to help make this happen?

Pupils shared brilliant ideas ranging from promoting kindness and fairness, to organising shared events between schools, and respecting and supporting others in their communities. Their creativity and compassion were evident in every suggestion.

We closed the session with a round of thank yous, smiles, and virtual waves goodbye — with many pupils clearly excited to stay connected and continue the conversations beyond the event.
