How Can we Bring Allyship into Workspace Practice?
Join Faaria Ahmad, Head of Global Learning London, and our Associate Team who will facilitate this interactive workshop exploring the key principles of allyship in the context of delivering workshops with children and young people. The session will build upon their experience of holding anti-racist training with educators, creatives and those creating positive change in the spaces they occupy.
The training will support organisations and practitioners to:
- Explore the concept of race and authentic allyship
- Build awareness of how racism manifests in our lives and the long-term impact it can have
- Bring attention to blind posts and bias, and how these are perpetuated through a lack of representation
- Get advice on creating and holding resilient, safe, and open spaces as a facilitator.
This free CPD is a part of A New Direction’s Cultural Sector Masterclass series for creative learning professionals to reflect upon and strengthen your practice. This session is only available online and won’t be recorded.
