Our Picks – July 2022

• Trying to find a quick and easy way to talk about pronouns? Our You, Me, Story! project partner, Amelia Armande (they/them), advised on the script for Anna Chloe Moorey’s charming episode of ‘Stevie Says’ on the theme of IDENTITY.
• Woodland Trust want to make sure everybody in the UK has the chance to plant a tree. So they’re giving away hundreds of thousands of trees to schools and communities. Together, they’re hoping to get millions more trees in the ground.
• Healing Justice London is hosting restorative yoga for resilience sessions every Tuesday online. Restorative Yoga supports embodied awareness and enables us to soothe our nervous systems and dissolve stress.
• Join graphic novelist Sabba Khan (The Roles We Play) in conversation with Shaheen Kasmani at Newham Word Festival, discussing her book, the roots of the local area, changes they have witnessed over the past ten years and what it’s meant for the communities who have found home here.
