Tracks Through Poplar Twilight

Join us to explore a brand new cross curricular teaching resource.

Tracks through Poplar looks at the history of steam trains in London’s East End and how the railway has developed since then. From local history to global connections, trains around the world, environmental sustainability, migration and refugees, and the role of women on the railway. With activities for key stage 2 pupils on a wide variety of topics, whole school assembly resources, Philosophy for Children tools, and exciting videos and interactive materials, this is a wealth of history, science, maths and geography resources.

At this free online twilight session you will get the opportunity to be guided through the activities, discover Philosophy for Children tools for exploring the concept of heritage and history, develop your own local history connections and get guidance on how to fit the topics within your own curriculum.
