Choose The World You Want
This month sees Fairtrade Fortnight take place from 21 February to 6 March. For two weeks each year, thousands of individuals, companies, schools, colleges and universities across the UK come together to learn more about and share the stories of the people who grow our food and drinks, and who grow the cotton in our clothes – people who are often exploited and underpaid.
This year’s theme focuses on the challenges that climate change brings to farmers in the communities Fairtrade works with. Here are three small ways you can get involved in Fairtrade Fortnight:
- Book your tickets to join the online Choose The World You Want Festival 2022 .
- Check out the hashtag #FairtradeFortnight on Twitter to see some of the things schools, organisations and individuals are doing around the UK. Or check out the Fairtrade Schools website for resources to learn and share!
- Learn more about being an active citizen from our Creative Communities resource which explores what it means to be an active citizen and helps you to help others in your local community.
