Our Picks – September 2023

  • Poems celebrating South London – Brixton’s activism are now literally “the word on the street” in Lambeth. Lambeth Council is working with 81 Acts of Exuberant Defiance  and the Brixton Project to celebrate Brixton activism with ghost poetry installations becoming a unique heritage trail with poems by renowned local poets Ty, Bries and Malika Booker being turned into public realm installations.
  • Did you know that humans are 22 times more likely to remember a story than any other communication? They weave through our neurology – we are hard-wired to enjoy telling and hearing them. Explore this toolkit by Futerra, showing you how to create climate stories that break the mould and define the paths for a new reality.
  • The Safe Zone Project is a free online resource providing curricula, activities, and other resources for educators facilitating Safe Zone trainings (sexuality, gender, and LGBTQ+ education sessions), and learners who are hoping to explore these concepts on their own.Image: Lambeth Council
