The Recycling Lab Primary School Assembly
We are excited to offer The Recycling Lab Assembly, a dynamic 30-minute primary school assembly that combines game design, environmental awareness and pupil participation.
Led by Maryam and Germma, professional Game Designers, the session begins by exploring why we play games and what we can learn from them — from teamwork to problem solving. Pupils discover how learning can happen through fun.
The assembly then explores recycling and waste, with a focus on Tower Hamlets’ local challenges. Pupils will watch a short video, discuss real-life issues such as contamination, and experience interactive mini games designed in collaboration with secondary school students.
Children will see live gameplay, vote for their favourites, and reflect on how games can inspire positive environmental action in their own community.
If you would like to host this engaging, curriculum-linked assembly at your school, please get in touch as soon as possible to book your preferred date in April and May. We would love to visit you! For any questions, get in touch with Fatema Zehra fatema.zehra@towerhamlets.gov.uk
